LTC Services as SIS-EW or Non-SIS-EW With a Community Spouse

When a client received LTC services through the EW as an SIS-EW enrollee, or non-SIS-EW enrollee with a community spouse, prior to admittance to an LTCF or receipt of SIS-EW services, continue using an LTC income calculation.

Example:

Meg is an SIS-EW enrollee with a certification period of January through June. She moves into an LTCF on April 5.

Action:

Continue to use an LTC income calculation for April because Meg was receiving services through the SIS-EW in the month prior to her admission to the LTCF and was already using an LTC income calculation.
